CACFP Training Webcasts Missed training? Need a refresher? The Community Nutrition Team provides CACFP training via webcasts. Webcasts allow you to view taped presentations that include PowerPoint slides on the web. We currently 12 webcasts posted. Three new webcasts reviewing the CACFP Infant Meal Pattern Requirements and Claiming for Meals served to Infants have been added recently.
- Training for New Sponsors:Please contact Amy Kolano, (608) 266-7124 if your agency is interested in Sponsoring the SFSP this coming summer and then Register Online for Training. The New Sponsor/Administrative Personnel training will be held in Madison on Friday, March 23rd. New sponsors will also receive an on-site visit from DPI prior to operation to review program requirements, answer questions, view meal service area, etc.
- Training for Returning Sponsors: Registration for Refresher Sponsor Training is now open! Group training will be held in Rhinelander, Feb. 24th, Oak Creek, March 2, Madison, March 9th, and Rice Lake, March 20th. New Sponsor/Administrative Personnel Training will be in Madison on March 23rd.

Recent Training Opportunities
Training for New Programs and New Staff Regarding the Annual USDA Food Order: December 6, 2011.
DPI conducted a training session specifically for new Food Service Staff and programs new to the USDA Food Program. The session is designed to prepare participating agencies in placing the Annual USDA Food Order. The training session covers the basics of planning for an annual order (i.e. what USDA foods to orders, the amounts to order, how to receive the orders, etc.). Direct Diversion Processing Training: October 4, 2011.
DPI offered a no-fee training session on Direct Diversion Processing prior to the Direct Diversion Food Show scheduled on the same day. The session covered the basics of the process, requirements at the school level, etc. Direct Diversion is the process of sending selected bulk, raw USDA foods directly to the selected processors to process into finished end-products. With this option, each school is directly responsible for procuring and selecting processors and finished end-products.
