Accountability and AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) Calendar

Year Month Date Event
2012March 12 Districts receive AYP alternate determination forms for schools without tested grades (SWINT) or with very small numbers of Full Academic Year students enrolled in the tested grades.
April 6 AYP alternate determination forms due for schools with fewer than 10 tested students (SWINT).
April TBD Accountability waiver negotiations with US Department of Education
May TBD Accountability indicators finalized for new report cards
June TBD Preliminary Private Accountability Report Cards provided to schools
August TBD Public Accountability Report Cards for schools released
August 30 Early notification only to districts that miss AMAO goals. Review and appeal period opens.
