Reporting, Accountability, and TransparencyTo safeguard the use of ARRA's unprecedented short-term funding, the law also includes unprecedented requirements for accountability and transparency. Local education agencies (LEAs) must report to the DPI where the funds were spent and the number of jobs created or saved. The DPI must then report this information to the Wisconsin Office of Recovery and Reinvestment, which will report it both to the public, via website, and to the federal Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board. Reporting Specific to State Fiscal Stabilization Funds
School-Level Expenditures ReportThe American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) requires each school district in Wisconsin receiving Title I, Part A ARRA funds to report a school-by-school listing of per-pupil educational expenditures from state and local funds for the 2008-09 school year to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI). All districts awarded Title I, Part A ARRA funds must complete this report. Whistleblower InformationAnyone knowing of fraud, waste, or abuse involving federal funds or programs should contact the Office of Inspector General (OIG). ARRA provides protections for certain individuals who make specified disclosures relating to Recovery Act funds. Last updated on 3/7/2012 9:10:48 AM |
