Household Application for Summer EBT

Most eligible students will automatically receive Summer EBT benefits and do not need to apply if they are receiving free or reduced price meals at their school. 

However, there are some households with eligible students that will need to apply. You may need to apply if: 

•  you think you may be eligible for Summer EBT benefits via your household’s income and do not want to apply for free or reduced price meal benefits at your student’s school. 
•  your student is enrolled in a school that participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) where all meals are provided to students at no cost and your household does not participate in FoodShare, W-2 Cash Benefits, FDPIR, and/or certain income based Medicaid programs, and you think you may be eligible for Summer EBT benefits based on your household’s income. 

The following link is the application for Summer EBT only. You will not hear if your application is approved or denied until June 8, 2026.

Updating Household Contact Information or Opting Out of Summer EBT Benefits

You may need to complete the Benefit Management tool if: 

• your student was enrolled in FoodShare, W-2 Cash Benefits, FDPIR, and/or certain income-based Medicaid programs at some point since July 1, 2025, but is no longer enrolled – the Benefit Management Tool will allow you to update your address so there is no delay in receiving your Summer EBT benefits. 
• your student is eligible for free or reduced priced meals at a school that charges students for meals based on their eligibility, and you would like to make sure the State has all the information required for you to receive and access your household’s Summer EBT benefits without delay. 
• you think your student might be eligible for Summer EBT benefits, but you would like to opt-out of receiving them.
