Budget Reports
Instructions
The Budget Report is filed and certified in the Budget Report Module of the Wisconsin School Finance Portal (WiSFiP), formerly SAFR PI-1504, and allows districts and LEAs to review budget data submitted via the WISEdata Finance portal. Using the district's designated school financial software, the budget is uploaded to WISEdata Finance and can be read in WiSFiP. The Budget Report is completed after the Tax Levy Report has been submitted and is typically due in early December. Please refer to the Fiscal Year at a Glance Calendar for due dates. Districts are responsible for reviewing the data uploaded into the Budget Module and working through any validations and addenda prior to certifying their budgets.
Note: To review budget data, you must be a District Data Administrator within the WiSFiP portal.
District Data Administrator:
- Ensure District’s financial software is up-to-date with the adopted budget and push the data to WISEdata Finance.
- Log in to WiSFiP and browse to the Budget Report Module for the current school year.
- Review the data in the Budget Report Module that is read from WISEdata Finance.
- Address any Budget Validations and Addenda prior to certifying the Budget Report.
- Certify the Budget Report by clicking the blue rectangle box labeled ‘Certify Budget Report’.
