Event Information

District staff who attend this event will learn more about federally-required​ statutory actions based on their identification as having significant​ disproportionality. Topics include root cause analysis, evidence-based​ strategies, and allowable IDEA budget items using Comprehensive​ Coordinated Early Intervening Services. 

 

 

Offsite Learning Opportunities

Meet and Greet:

As part of the CCEIS Summit experience, participants are invited to join us for a special evening of networking and continued learning on June 15, 2026.

Turtle School Tour:

Participants will engage in an immersive off-site learning experience at the Turtle School alongside Dr. Lois Stevens, and fellow educational professionals, exploring the cultural and symbolic significance of the school’s design. Through guided discussion and shared reflection, attendees will examine culturally relevant practices and draw meaningful comparisons between this tribal school and traditional public schools. Please note that space for this opportunity is limited and registered conference attendees will need to sign up in Whova to participate.

Who Should Attend?

This event is designed for LEAs identified​ under 20 U.S. Code § 1418(d)(2) as having significant disproportionality​ (identified spring 2024 and/or spring 2025). For LEAs who qualify, we​ encourage you to bring your team members (i.e., district administrators,​ special education directors, C&I directors, WiMLSS coordinators).
