Director of Special Education and Pupil Services Weekly News Archive
DPI sends regular email communications to all local educational agency (LEA) Directors of Special Education, and other engagement groups, to assist in meeting State Educational Agency general supervision responsibilities including monitoring and enforcement requirements in §§ 300.600 through 300.602 and §§ 300.606 through 300.608. The primary content of these emails include updates or opportunities to receive training and technical assistance to improve outcomes for children with disabilities related to state or federal special education legal requirements, fiscal management, data collections, and grant opportunities. Secondary content includes resources that may be beneficial for Local Educational Agency Directors of Special Education or Directors of Pupil Services to share within their LEA to support students with and without disabilities.
