Vendor Resources

These resources support the development of EdTech applications that integrate with the WISEdata Ed‑Fi API and Operational Data Store (ODS). The Wisconsin Ed‑Fi Vendor Certification process ensures that vendor products meet state data, security, and reporting requirements.

This documentation is intended for vendors and application developers working to integrate their systems with the WISEdata Ed‑Fi API.  Common examples of approved vendors include:

  • Student Information System (SIS) providers
  • Non-SIS reporting systems for Special Education and Discipline
  • State-approved assessment vendors

NOTE: The DPI Ed‑Fi API is designed specifically for reporting purposes and is not intended for instructional software, licensing systems, or other tools that do not support state or federal reporting requirements.

WISEdata Vendor Resources

All vendors integrating with the Wisconsin DPI WISEdata Ed‑Fi API, including both technical and non-technical users, will find this detailed documentation helpful. It provides guidance for onboarding, development, testing, certification, and data integration with WISEdata and related applications.
