Pupil Count Overview - WiSFiP Pupil Count Module and PI-1563
Overview
The 2025-26 school year will be a dual reporting year - all districts will report in both the PI-1563 report in SAFR AND in the WiSFiP Pupil Count Module. The PI-1563 remains the official collection tool for the majority of information related to counting children for state formulae purposes. After the October 3 deadline for PI-1563 passes, there will be time to work with the data in WiSFiP and compare the results with your PI-1563 reporting. DPI will not be using data pulled from WiSFiP to calculate aid or membership. However, it is important that all districts report in both platforms so that the quality of the data in WiSFiP can be assured.
School Financial Services has developed guidance to help guide districts through the new WiSFiP Pupil Count Module as well as the PI-1563 application.
