Federal Data Collection Statewide Reports

The following statewide data reports are required to be publicly reported by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The majority of this data was historically collected through the Individual Student Enrollment System (ISES) and is now collected through WISEdata, and reported to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) through the EDFacts Initiative.

Federal Data Collection Statewide Reports

IDEA Section 618 specifically requires public reporting of data related to the following collections: Child Count and Educational Environments, Exiting, Discipline, and Dispute Resolution. In addition to these collections, States also collect and report on Assessment, Maintenance of Effort (MOE) and Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CEIS), and Personnel for individuals with disabilities. This data is collected through the WISEdata collection system.

To view the federal data reports by state education agency, please visit the IDEA Data Center.

As an additional public reporting tool, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has also made available the WISEdash Public portal to view data collected and published by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Data on the portal are redacted and available by school, district, or state.

Individual district information is available in the Special Education District Profile of the local performance plan.
