WI Educational Services Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (WESP-DHH) Provides Direct Support to Students, Educators, and Families

The Wisconsin Educational Services Program for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind (WESP-DHH) operates under the direction of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI). WESP-DHH comprises three components: Outreach Services, Wisconsin School for the Deaf (WSD), and the Wisconsin Deafblind Technical Assistance Project (WDBTAP).

The Wisconsin School for the Deaf is a residential school for deaf and hard of hearing students from throughout the state of Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Deafblind Technical Assistance Project (WDBTAP) provides resources to children and youth aged birth to 21 with combined vision and hearing loss.

Additional Family Support and Advocacy Organizations

Information and links to a variety of statewide family support and advocacy organizations that support all students who receive special education through an IEP including the Wisconsin Statewide Parent Educator Initiative (WSPEI), Wisconsin Family Assistance Center of Education, Training & Support (WI FACETS), Disability Rights Wisconsin, Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (BPDD), and the Arc of Wisconsin.
