Perkins funding makes several different types of grants possible:
- Perkins CTE Formula Grant - These make up the majority of grant monies that are distributed through the Stengthening Career and Technical Education in the 21st Century Act (Perkins V).
- Perkins CTE Reserve Grant - These provide funding for the development, implementation, promotion, and monitoring of regional career pathways.
