Wisconsin “Meets Requirements” of IDEA Part B

Thursday, July 11, 2024

The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) issued the annual State Education Agency (SEA) Determinations in June 2024 and we are pleased to report that Wisconsin was found to meet the requirements and purposes of Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Wisconsin is one of 21 States or Territories that was found to meet requirements. OSEP is continuing to use both results data and compliance data in making these determinations, weighted on an equal basis. More information on how determinations are made may be found here, and a copy of Wisconsin’s Annual Performance Report and Determination Letter may be found here.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work and dedication to ensuring compliance and toward improving the results for our children and youth with disabilities across the State of Wisconsin.
